De Koevoet has a lot to offer!

A vast and peaceful area, water and natures beauty. Hidden among lakes, meadows, and woodland lies an atractive holiday destination: De Koevoet. A former farm, radiating a romantic and very special atmosphere of its own. On the groundfloor, there are ten fully furnished apartments. The former hay-loft has been made into a stylish restaurant and is now a cosy meeting-point with a large, open fire-place.

On the extensive grounds of De Koevoet your children can enjoy themselves to their heart's content, go sailing, fishing, surfing, swimming and maybe pitch a small tent at our mini-campsite for the first time in their life.

Our marina (water depth 1.50 m) is directly connected with "Koevordermeer" (Lake Koevorder): there are 80 berths for cabincruisers, sailing yachts and our own sailing-dinghis which can be hired. What is more, traveling holidaymakers and their boats are always welcome.

Around the marina, there is ample space for camping. You will always find a comfortable spot.

Hospitality and opportunities galore for yachtspeople!

Our marina borders on Koevordermeer (Lake Koevorder). Its central location next to the "Frisian Lake District" gives you easy acces to other places of interest within easy reach (e.g. Lemmer). The wel-protected marina offers berths for sailing-dinghis, sailing-yachts and motor-boats. The water depth is 1.5 m, there is space for 80 yachts and our fleet of sailing-dinghis for hire. At de Koevoet, you can hire berths for the summer season and for the winter. During the winter, there is a possibility for you to leave your boat on dry land. Traveling holidaymakers are cordially welcome at any time. Your children or you can pitch a tent in various places. In addition, you can have a meal in our restaurant ("wining and dining") or you can savour the atmosphere with friends around our open fireplace. For those staying overnight, we have a modern sanitary-building with shower- and washing-facilities at your disposal. In the main building, there are a washing-machine and a spin-drier.

Holiday apartments with a magnificent view of the lake!

The ten comfortable apartments are located in our Frisian farmhouse (5x 3- room-; 3x 2-room-; 2x one-room-apartments). From your room, you enjoy a magnificent view of the lake and the lush grounds of de Koevoet. Each apartment offers seating-room and kitchen facilities, a shower, a toilet, and central heating. Quilts are standard. Please, bring your own bed-clothes or hire them from us if you wish. Crockery, cutlery, etc. for preparing your own meals is available. You are very welcome to have a meal in our restaurant. Should your friends or other quests visit you, you can have an evening-meal in our restaurant and unwind at the fireside. It goes without saying that your quests can stay for the night in an apartment, at our campsite or aboard their own boat in our marina. In addition to an apartment, you can hire a sailing-dinghi or a fishing-boat and explore the beautiful surroundings from the water.

Hospitality galore!

On the vast grounds of de Koevoet you will find many beauty spots for camping - near the marina, among the trees or in the vast area of grassland. The campsite is quiet, comfortable and due to its central location an ideal starting-point for day-trips. A modern building with showers and washing facilities is at your disposal, with a washing-machine and a spin-drier in the main building. Of course, you can stay at our snug restaurant or have a glass of wine/beer, etc. around the fireside. Visiting guests can rent a plot for the night at our campsite.

Relax at our impressive loft!

In the evening, you can go wining and dining at the former hay-loft which has been converted into a restaurant furnished with marine memorabilia appealing to the emotions. With the aid of our chef, you can order the most delicious meals; we also organize fondue and barbecue evenings. In addition to a hearty meal, you can also enjoy the warmth of the open fireplace, have a drink and exchange views and news of the day with other guests. We hope to provide a cosy atmosphere, which helps you to find a home away from home.
